At about 70 km from Nagpur along the Mumbai-Jabalpur Highway, Pench Tiger Reserve is home to a variety of flora and fauna. It’s spread across the borders of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, and Pench – Maharashtra is about 275 sq km in area.
We visited Pench in February though summer months are best suited to spot more wildlife, including tiger. Provided one can tolerate the Nagpur heat! MTDC (now privatised) has a resort at Sillari, close to Pench.
